10:30 am Choir
The Little Flower Choir enhances the quality of worship with choral and instrumental music regularly at the Sunday 10:30 am Mass from the Sunday after Labor Day through the feast of Corpus Christi. They additionally sing for Thanksgiving, Advent Lessons and Carols, Christmas, and the Easter Triduum. The choir is open to anyone from high school and older. No formal musical training is required; we will teach you how to be a choral singer. Rehearsals are held on Wednesday nights from 7:30 to 9:00 pm. The music encompasses the entire choral tradition ranging from Gregorian chants to contemporary works. For more information on the choir, or to join, contact Terry Eberhardt at email@example.com
9 am & 12 Noon Choirs
The Contemporary Choirs sing at the 9 am and 12:00 pm Masses on Sunday mornings. Both are all volunteer with cantor, piano and a small varying ensemble of flute, violin, guitar and bass. We meet at 8:15 am and 11:00 am for rehearsal on Sunday to prepare for that day's Mass. Our repertoire includes traditional as well as new praise and worship music. The combined choirs also sing for the Christmas Eve (4:00) and Christmas Day (12:15) Masses and for the noon liturgy on Good Friday. We welcome all from age 12. Our Pipe Organ
Little Flower made a major liturgical/musical leap with the installation of Casavant Opus No. 3880 Pipe Organ. The organ was a dream of many choir directors and indeed completed the original design of the church as space had been left available for its installation. Blessed and debuted on September 27, 2009 and dedicated on Nov. 1 of that year it has been played by internationally known organists such as Dr. Peter Latona (artistic consultant on the project), James Christie, & Donald Sutherland and praised by all these distinguished organists and many area organists who have heard it or played it. It will enrich the life of the parish for generations to come.
