Recognizing the diversity that enriches us and the unity we share at our Sunday Eucharist, we will gather for worship in a variety of contexts and will support the unique character of each parishioner's personal faith journey.

ALTAR SERVERS (Child or teen)
Duties: Assist the priest during Mass
Time: Serve approximately every other week; initial training required and on-going training provided

Special Skills: Dependable and able to be attentive and reverent at Mass; open to all in the parish in the fifth grade or higher

ARIMATHEANS
Duties: Function as altar server during Funeral Masses; prepare for Funeral Masses by setting out vessels, bread and wine, lighting altar candles, etc.
Time: On an as-needed basis. Arrive 30 minutes before Funeral Masses to prepare for the Liturgies, assist at Masses and remain for a few minutes afterwards to restore items

CHILDREN'S LITURGY OF THE WORD*
Duties: Lead children through the Liturgy of the Word during Sunday, 9:00 a.m. Mass
Time: As scheduled (approximately three times monthly); preparation may be done individually or with a partner; initial and ongoing training; new leaders work with a mentor
Special Skills: Adults who enjoy working with children, teaching prayer and reflecting on the Word

CHOIRS - 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon (Teen or adult)
Duties: Sing at either the 9:00 a.m. or the noon Mass each Sunday with a group of committed parishioners
Time: One hour before and during the 9:00 a.m. Mass or noon Mass, plus rehearsal Wednesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

CHOIR - 10:30 a.m. (Teen or adult)
Duties: Sing at 10:30 a.m. Mass every Sunday and major holidays in a variety of choral styles with a caring group of committed parishioners
Time: Thirty minutes before and during the 10:30 mass, plus rehearsal Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.

CHOIR - CHILDREN'S*
Duties: Sing at 9:00 a.m. Sunday Mass about once per month, the early Christmas Eve Mass and at First Communion Mass in the spring
Time: As scheduled (about once a month); weekly rehearsals on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Late arrival at rehearsal is permitted for children attending other schools. All children of the parish are welcome

CHOIR - TEEN
Duties: Sing at 12:00 noon Mass on the last Sunday of each month
Time: Rehearsal at 11:00 AM every Sunday

INSTRUMENTALISTS (Child, teen or adult)
Duties: Play instrumental music at Mass. If interested, please call the coordinators directly

SUNDAY LECTORS (Teen or adult)
Duties: Proclaim the Scripture readings at Mass
Time: One Mass approximately every 3 weeks; training is required
Special Skills: A clear speaking voice

DAILY LECTORS (Adult)
Duties: Proclaim the Scripture readings at daily Mass
Time: One Mass every other week; training is required
Special Skills: A clear speaking voice

USHERS
Duties: Greet and help seat parishioners; oversee offertory procession; pass baskets at collection time; ensure orderly flow at communion time, provide assistance in emergencies
Time: As scheduled (weekly, every other week, occasionally or as a substitute) for designated Mass (arrive 15 minutes early), plus initial training and an annual formation session
Special Skills: Dependable, friendly disposition and quiet respect

GREETERS AND GIFTBEARERS
Duties: The Greeters greet parishioners with a warm smile and a song sheet before each mass. The Gift bearers carry the gifts to the altar in the offertory procession
Time: As scheduled (usually quarterly or every other quarter) for designated Mass (arrive 15 minutes early and check in with head usher)
Special Skills: Dependable and welcoming

SACRISTY COMMITTEE
Duties: Clean Sanctuary and Baptismal area every Friday following 8:15 a.m. Mass; make baptismal garments, launder altar server albs, priests' vestments, altar cloths, and small linens (individually and at home)
Time: Approximately one hour per month
Special Skills: A caring eye for detail; a desire to help "behind the scenes"

FIRST FRIDAY ADORATION
Duties: Spend time in devotion to our Lord
Time: One-half hour or more each first Friday of the month
Special Skills: None required

LITTLE FLOWER PRAYER CHAIN
Duties: Participate in prayer chain through individual prayer for intentions of parishioners and their families and friends
Time: Varies
Special Skills: Desire to pray for the needs of others

THE DAILY ROSARY FOR PEACE PRAYER GROUP
Duties: Recite the Rosary for peace
Time: Every day, except Sunday, in the church following 12:00 noon Mass; Come when you can
Special Skills: None required; new leaders always welcome
