Missing Sacraments? NEW CLASS ON WEDNESDAY EVENINGS

Sometimes children miss the traditional timing for receiving the Sacraments. Whatever the reason, we are always happy to welcome these children and their families and will guide them through the process. Deacon Jim Shanahan will be leading a class on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 7:30 pm in the School Music Room for children who may not have had the opportunity to receive all of their Sacraments (Baptism, Eucharist, Reconciliation.) On January 5, during a Mass for the Solemnity of the Epiphany of Our Lord at the Basilica of the National Shrine, Cardinal Wuerl presented awards to more than 200 Catholics.The Manifesting of the Kingdom award is given by the Archbishop of Washington to laywomen and laymen and to the consecrated women and men who demonstrate the presence of Jesus in their lives and have participated in an exceptional service to the Church. Congratulations to Stephen, Kathy and Elizabeth!
