Guidelines for Baptism of Children

Your child’s Baptism is a wonderful and blessed occasion for your child and your family. At the Church of the Little Flower we look forward to welcoming your child as a newly baptized member of our Christian community and the universal Catholic Church.

 At your child’s Baptism you will enter into a commitment to raise him or her in the Catholic faith. Infant Baptism requires both pre-baptismal catechesis for the parents and godparents and, as they grow and baptismal grace flowers in them, post-baptismal catechesis for the children.

 The time spent in preparing for your child’s Baptism can serve as a beautiful opportunity to deepen your gratitude to God both for your child and for the great gift of the Catholic faith.
