BLESSED BEAN COFFEE/CIDER HOUSE

Are you (or do you know) a college student who stayed local this semester? Check out this new opportunity for that age group! The Blessed Bean is an outdoor coffeehouse venue hosted at St. Patrick's in Rockville for college-age young adults from all over Montgomery County. All college-age young adults are invited for our outdoor event for a hot drink, a chance to catch up with friends and participate in an awesome talk and discussion. Events run on Fridays from 6:30pm-8:00pm. 4101 Norbeck Road, Rockville. There is no fee to attend but donations are welcome to support the program. Bring a mask - and a friend!

UPDATE: The Blessed Bean returns on January 8th for all college-age young adults in the area! Fr. Jamie Morrison will be speaking on abortion and pro-life issues from years of experience in the Pro-Life world. We’ll be there 6:30-8:00pm with the talk starting at 7:00pm. Masks are required.

Next event: January 22.

(Note: Fr. Bob Kilner was here as an awesome summer seminarian. He's high energy! Fr. Conrad is the new chaplain at UMD. Fr. Chris is "a regular" at many area high schools for Campus Ministry but his primary position is at JPII working with the seminarians. All are amazing speakers!)

COLLEGE CAMPUS MINISTRY

As you make the transition to college we want to help you get the most out of your college experience by connecting to the Catholic Campus Ministry community at school. Catholic Campus Ministry provides friendships, retreats and bible studies, Mass and more. We know that connecting to campus groups may be harder this year without in-person orientations and programs, but we are here to help!

Molly Herrera is the Program Director of Campus and Young Adult Ministry for the Archdiocese of Washington. She has built great connections are area schools and can help facilitate connections. She's also more than happy to help students who attend school further away to find programs near you. She can be reached at HerreraM@adw.org or email us and we'll connect you.

Parents: Of course the best support comes from home. Encourage your child (and this is for high schoolers too) to look to campus ministry as a great way to make friends and find some activities with great people.
