Ride for Vocations

Each Fall the Archdiocese hosts a ride through Southern Maryland parishes to raise funds for the priesthood and consecrated life.  Riders, donors and sponsors are always welcome!

On October 1, 2022, the Office of Priest Vocations, in conjunction with Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Plata, will hold the 7th Annual Ride for Vocations. The Ride for Vocations is a bike ride through Southern Maryland, stopping at seven Catholic churches to pray, rest, and refuel. Our riders come from across The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington and include priests, seminarians, deacons, religious brothers, and lay people of all experience levels. Riders have the option to ride 100, 70, 50, or 21 miles.

The funds raised from the annual Ride allow us to support many vocations events. It is a perfect opportunity to support vocations for the priesthood and religious life through your prayers, sacrifice, and donations.

Please note that if anyone would like to order a custom jersey, your order must be placed by August 11! Please see the flyer for details.
