Baptism of Infants

Your child’s Baptism is a wonderful and blessed occasion for your child and your family. At the Church of the Little Flower we look forward to welcoming your child as a newly baptized member of our Christian community and the universal Catholic Church.

At your child’s Baptism you will enter into a commitment to raise him or her in the Catholic faith. We also assume that Catholic parents/godparents are in good sacramental standing, and are able to declare that, "as a Catholic parent/godparent, I understand my duties and responsibilities both to my child/Godchild and to the Church, and I promise to raise this child in the teachings of the Church and to support their Catholic faith."

At Little Flower, Infant Baptisms are celebrated on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays of the month after the Noon Mass (~ 1:00 pm). Please complete the form below to schedule your infant's baptism. Parents of first borns are required to take a Baptism Preparation Class. The Class is offered the 1st Saturday of every month at 10:00 am in the Parish Hall. You may register for the Prep Class HERE.

Godparents

One godparent is required. If there are two godparents, they must be one male and one female. One of the two Godparents must be a practicing Roman Catholic who has received the sacraments of Baptism, First Eucharist and Confirmation and is at least 16 years old. A baptized non-Catholic may be a Christian Witness. An unbaptized person may not be a witness. If a Godparent is unable to attend the ceremony, a proxy is welcome to stand in.
